Eighth Generation

Eighth Generation leverages sustainable, custom packaging for its Gold Label Throw Blankets launch

Challenge

Eighth Generation, owned by the Snoqualmie Indian Tribe,  produces 100% Native-designed products. To launch its limited-edition Gold Label Throw Blankets, Eighth Generation needed high-quality, sustainable corrugated packaging that matched both the blankets’ quality and beauty, and the company’s brand values. Additionally, due to the limited launch and lack of storage space, it needed the flexibility to start with a small order and add more later if needed.

Solution

Working with Fantastapack to produce the custom boxes, Eighth Generation leveraged fully sustainable HP PageWide C500 Press technology that minimizes waste and use true water-based inks that are fully recyclable and compostable. The box that was produced offered high-end presentation value and added product security.  The production set up  time was minimal and enabled full operational flexibility and swift delivery.

Results

The  launch was a resounding success, with multiple designs selling out the same day. Eighth Generation remained true to its core values and matched a sustainable packaging to its Native-designed products, while benefiting from an easy and environmentally friendly process.
